İstanbul Airport ranks as Europe's busiest hub

İstanbul Airport handled an average of 1,623 daily flights between July 13 and 19, making it the busiest airport in Europe during the period, according to the latest data from EUROCONTROL.
The figures were published in the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation's (EUROCONTROL) latest European Aviation Report, covering air traffic across the continent for the week of July 13–19.
According to the report, İstanbul Airport recorded an average of 1,623 flights per day, placing it at the top of Europe's busiest airports.
Amsterdam Schiphol ranked second with 1,398 daily flights, followed closely by Paris Charles de Gaulle with 1,395. London Heathrow came fourth with 1,331 daily flights, while Frankfurt Airport completed the top five with 1,320 flights per day.
The latest rankings underline İstanbul Airport's continued role as one of Europe's leading aviation hubs, maintaining the highest level of daily air traffic among the continent's major airports during the reporting period.
