According to reports from the Welt am Sonntag newspaper and Politico, based on information obtained from government sources, Berlin is said to be planning to implement direct measures against Russia simultaneously with new sanctions currently being prepared within the framework of the European Union (EU). It was reported that Germany is expected to announce its decision early next week, coinciding with the EU Foreign Ministers’ Meeting scheduled for Tuesday in Ireland.
