SpaceX is planning to build its fourth and largest launch facility in the United States, with a projected investment of $100 billion in Louisiana.

The company said the facility, which will be known as Starbase, Louisiana, is designed to support thousands of launches each year and play a major role in expanding its Starship programme.

SpaceX expects the project to create around 3,000 direct jobs over the next decade, along with more than 8,000 additional indirect jobs.

The completed site is planned to include five launch complexes, each equipped with two launch pads and a fuel facility. The wider development will also feature a fuel production plant, an energy generation facility, a vehicle processing centre and housing for employees and their families.
